>"Femaleness" in the book is described as a state of self-sacrifice to make room for the desire of others.[2]

Why would you willingly bring this upon yourself?
I mean, sometimes making room for the desire of others and putting aside your own desire is the appropriate thing when you are taking too much. But it's the opposite of the appropriate thing if other people are taking or would take too much from you. It's a balance, like all things.
I don't understand trans women like her at all.

It also makes no sense and is pretty sexist to define the word "female" as meaning "submissive" when we already have a word for that.

@Brookryn Would you say that any ethical issue with pornography goes away when it's animated? To me, it must do.

@randrews I wouldn't call myself "right-wing". I don't see the problem with migration (although there isn't much of it in this area). I live in the UK. My dad's a migrant from the US. I know migrants from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. There are some Ukrainian refugees in my town and we've had no problems with them as far as I can see, in fact the ones I've met seem like really nice people.
As for free speech and gun rights, I agree that those are good things (but moreso free speech than guns), but "right-wing" parties are against other kinds of liberty, most notably w.r.t. sexual and gender stuff. I don't agree with gender transitions for children but IIRC Republicans in the US have been going after it for adults as well.

If gays can have pride, why not straights?

@stevebenen The "treason and military tribunals" thing, I mean.

@stevebenen Wouldn't that also not hold water in court if the court has decided that politicians aren't to be held liable for actions taken in an official capacity?

@randrews What right-wing parties are you referring to? What policies of theirs do you like?

@Flick Idk. I mainly just want to make sure anti-liberty parties don't have any power, not get rid of democracy wholesale.

Also, some people are concerned about voters being misinformed. I don't know how much of a problem that is but assuming it is, it should not be solved by curtailing freedom of thought and speech.

@Flick Anyway this survey was held in a bunch of countries, many of which I have nothing to do with, so I'm not that concerned.

@Flick

>However, only 57% of respondents aged 18 to 35 felt democracy was preferable to any other form of government, against 71% of those over 56, and 42% of younger people said they were supportive of military rule, against just 20% of older respondents.
Ew, military rule. No thanks.

@Flick
>An international study last year claimed that 42 per cent of people aged 18 to 35 would support some kind of undemocratic government, against 20 per cent of older people.
I'm not in favour of undemocratic government per se. I just think that if it comes down to a choice between democracy and civil liberties, democracy has got to go, not civil liberties.

@Flick A flyer for a "woman's equality party" came through my door.

@admitsWrongIfProven @falcennial Why can't a woman escape from pregnancy by not having sex in the first place? Except in the case of rape, of course. But nobody is suggesting that it's okay to rape a woman and very few prolifers IIRC are suggesting that women who have been raped should be forbidden from having abortions.

@sj_zero @interfluidity @volkris Maybe. But that's a bad thing. If the outrage over this leads the law to be changed, that would be a win for rule of law.

@angiebaby @cjpaloma @MattMerk @_L1vY_ I think archiving is good though

@admitsWrongIfProven @hacks4pancakes Imagine that. Germans fighting American fascists. Lol.

@memes If it's piss then really the "half-empty" one is being optimistic and the "half-full" one is being pessimistic.
