Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

Virtually every leftist opposing the war Iraq made the argument that people who vote for wars should have to go fight in those wars. If this was even the same Democratic party that it was in 2007, they'd actually be cheering for what Donald Trump said and telling Liz Cheney to go find a recruiter and sign up herself if she has that much of a problem with not enough War.

It's probably true that some of those international students need to use the food bank because the cost of living in Canada is very high.

But here's the thing... If you're coming here and you can't afford to be here, you probably shouldn't be here. If you're holding up signs begging for money at the local stores, what you should receive is a plane ticket back to wherever you came from. If you're using our food banks, you should probably receive a plane ticket back to wherever you came from.

And if any politicians have a problem with that, maybe they should get a one-way ticket to wherever these people came from. Because there's a growing number of people in need who actually come from this country who were born here, and increasingly they're obviously not getting the help they need.

What you never been bitten by a sitting president before? Can you even say that you've lived?

I really hope that my own country of Soviet canakistan can be saved next year.

By their own logic, don't warhawks like the Democrats favorite new BFFs the Cheneys execute thousands of American citizens every year? I mean, if having it to fight in a war that you voted for is execution, surley having to fight in a war that you didn't vote for is too?

It's just stupid seeing people fighting against the person they wish they were fighting against rather than the person they are fighting against.

Sun Tzu famously said if you know your enemy and know yourself you will never lose in a thousand battles, it seems like these people want to define their enemy and don't really want to know about them. That's fine, but at the end of the day you actually have to fight the enemy in front of you not the one in your head.

Government debt is now the number one existential crisis facing most western Nations. 20 years ago most of these governments were in reasonably Good financial shape and so it wasn't that big of a deal running up debt for a few years, but that was 20 years ago.

Is Putin personally responsible for every lawsuit that takes place in Russia?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation, but when I read the article it looked like the company sued google, the Russian courts implemented a fine, and that fine was to continuously rise as long as it was not being followed.

Maybe we need to start doing fines this way in the west for big companies so they stop treating Court judgments for legal violations like a cost of doing business.

Til. I never knew about this!

If the greenies ever got to see exactly what sort of resources it takes to create a ton of steel, they'd realize you can't consume your way out of our civilization's consumption problem.

"Unify under me or die"

"Was a I good evil mastermind?"

"No."

"do you even lfs bro?"

(I actually did Linux from scratch once, don't remember much about it now)

Running Debian sid on an arm Chromebook and this hits hard. Doesn't even have plasma 6

Why exactly would someone be against removing non voters from voter rolls?

That was an interesting read.

"Edgelords? In my elementary school? It's more likely than you think."

I mean, you even see it here on the fediverse.

These people think that you can't just disagree, the other person has to be a fundamentally loathsome person.

They end up appealing to the disgust centers of the brain, and ironically that's the same tactic the Nazis used against the Jews. Treat the acceptable to hate group as a disease, irredeemable in the same way a virus or bacteria is irredeemable, and to be scrubbed out of History the same as one washes their hands.

As I understand it the real reason that they iodized salt is nuclear weapons. By overloading a person's body with safe iodine, it prevents the body from picking up radioactive iodine in the event of a nuclear war.

It's actually interesting, a lot of our food has been corrupted by Total War. It isn't just about salt and sugar and fat, there are military technologies designed to help produce shelf-stable rations that food company is routinely use in their standard foodstuffs because it ensures that that food is shelf stable a lot longer. You can really see the difference between industrially produced bread or the bread made at the local bakery (or in your own oven). The industrially produced bread lasts forever, but the local bread or the bread that you make in your own house has a very short shelf life before the fact that it is food means that stuff like mold starts to grow.

But muh thyroid!
