Probably missed the boat to actually get after gamers, we are likely past peak woke. The ever escalating info war has “our side” (anyone to the right of Mao) increasingly interconnected and aware of the tricks they are going to try to pull. The industry is putting out flop after flop as their dei investment money is winding down. Feels like we are seeing the dying thrashing of their old guard as they go down. Im sure they will return in some new form with new avatars but I think “we” have fairly decisively won the actual gamer demographic even down to alot of the normies.

These games have enormous lead times So they run far behind cultural trends. And even here they are failing, its sold like 1 million units. Thats a huge flop for this kind of budget and once prestigious studio

Thiel ended up setting the direction of the merged company, Elon had wanted to become an everything bank and payment services company. Thiel was content to provide merchant services to Ebay buyers and sellers.

So Elon took his $250 million payday and moved on to other ventures.
