@CatLord @Gran3Walder @Nils there's also the rule that we keep seeing cities and counties having to re-learn the hard way: if you make it difficult or expensive to dispose of trash, people will find creative ways around it, and then you're stuck living in a shithole with trash everywhere. someone's gonna burn it in a pit, every business in the county is going to have to lock their dumpsters to keep folks from dumping shit in there, and some people are gonna dump it down a creek or drainage ditch.

even worse when they try to nickel and dime people over hazardous waste. get some smarmy faggot to "WELL AKSHUALLY there's a $15 disposal fee for that jug of used oil and it's $3 each for fluorescent light bulbs" and what do you think's gonna happen to the next one?

@CatLord @skylar @Gran3Walder @Nils I prefer glass, oddly people are ignorant to the fact glass has gotten some absolutely insane durability advances in the last half-century. Their sail-foams are fucking magic in material properties advances compared to when vacuum bulb electronics got phased out. Plastic is the real elephant in the room when it comes to ♻️ esthetics and ethics.
