Any Europeans interested in building a Bluesky-related social media cooperative? Asking for a friend.
@ntnsndr what is a "blue sky-related social media cooperative"?
@douginamug still figuring this one out, but I think there is a need for cooperativizing Bluesky infrastructures like PDSes, feeds, labelers, relays, etc.
@ntnsndr @douginamug I think, while #ATProto is a terrible protocol for a decentralised social network, it's great for something that would already be centralised, like a forum, or something that you want to be centralised for whatever reason.
Advantage: self-authenticating data.

@ntnsndr @douginamug technically,this may be difficult. See https://dustycloud.org/blog/how-decentralized-is-bluesky
@j12t @douginamug yes, I read it yesterday.
This is not my project, but I think it is possible to cooperativize some aspects of the UX stack even if aspects of the core network are centralized. And perhaps even support the plausibility of "credible exit."
