So did musk plan to expose Twitter as being fake then back out from the start, or is he caught off guard?
I dont know the details, but if twitter disclosed that 5% are bots, Musk can make that statement logically, then come to find that 85% of twitter accounts are actually bots, then find himself backing out of the deal because he doesn't want to buy a steaming pile of garbage

Whether you like @elonmusk or not, he's clever enough, and this makes him sound like a bumbling moron, so I find this narrative hard to believe
I think that he knew going into it that the bot count was being suppressed and he had to have thought that exposing that would give him leverage. I think he's fishing for a discounted deal. I put my money on a legal battle which exposes that twitter was not accurate during due diligence and a resolution putting the deal back on the table at a steep discount for Musky boy
Either way it's the elites trying to take money out each others pockets so I'll just be over here with some popcorn
