The author’s name is given as Kristi Noel, and below that appears a photograph of a handgun. Blue text elsewhere on the cover reads “How to Take a Firm Line with Problem Pets … and People!” and “Embracing the challenges of pet ownership by applying the principles of compassionate conservatism.” A small text at the foot of the cover reads “Governor Noem’s no-nonsense hands-on tips will resonate with anyone who’s ever been faced by animals -- or humans -- that just will not do as they are told.” and is attributed to “Wall Street Journal”. A black circle at lower right contains the words “With a foreword by Mitt Romney” in white text.
