Predator of cinnamon rolls

The best coffee I remember having was at the British Library in London

what the world needs for healing is libraries serving cofe and tea and staying open late at night to offer an alternative to pubs and clubs and such tbqh. i miss the library of that university that was open 24/7 it was so cozy at night just picking a book and getting vending machine cofe that sure was a vibe.

Where is she?

@gabriel What can these entities do with that "control" though?

@interfluidity @feld Giving people power is good if you trust them, bad otherwise. Since we can't all agree on who to trust, it's better to, as a society, trust no one.

Maybe deflation is bad. Idk enough about economics to say anything about that.
But it's worth noting that a cryptocurrency doesn't have to be "deflationary".

Pretty partial to Mexican dishes myself. Pastries are nice also.

Ok, but what's wrong with the US dollar dying? Especially if it's then replaced by something better (such as a censorship-resistant cryptocurrency).

@jeffcliff @thegreatape @whoopsie Are individual humans equivalent to human groups though?

If this is how democracy is going to be then I understand why some people don't like it.

@interfluidity why is that bad?

Trans/etc people of fedi, if someone doesn't actually believe that you are the gender you identify as, would you prefer they use the pronouns you prefer or the pronouns that they believe are more accurate? Would you prefer they be polite or honest?

@whoopsie @jeffcliff Are we talking about Jews, Africans, or Western gender-affirming doctors?

@Cyrillic It's okay to be white. It's not okay to be a selfish git.

@whoopsie @jeffcliff I don't know what it's in response to

@gabriel not normal in a good way though

@whoopsie I think I parsed your post wrong. Never mind.

@ajroach42 Looked cool. Checked it out. Seemed from the use of "mutual aid" to be an anarchist project, and therefore anti-authoritarian. But I was surprised to hear the mention of "illegal" poker games.
Can someone explain the rationale behind this?
You can have your anticapitalist utopia, I'm fine with that. But why not also allow people to have fun in said utopia?

Please don't take any of this as a complaint or a demand. You can have your fun in whichever way you please so long as it hurts no one. I'm just figuring out whether it is for me.
