This is a good source. The author made a thread about it on fedi too.

It's incredibly disappointing that reacting with a laughing emoji doesn't communicate whether you are laughing with someone or at them.

Get out of my neighborhood, snowflake

@ins0mniak @Nudhul God you people are tools

@KimberlyMcBlaze Good for you but I recommend not talking about it as it only invites more cunts

@eriner @KimberlyMcBlaze I would bet that 90% of "dark fedi" users are mentally ill in some way (probably schizo).
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

@lilli @VeganMemes Maybe I'll visit some of the egg (and milk if there are any) places near me and see what's going on.

I will say though that my family used to keep chickens for eggs while I was growing up and when we got a rooster we treated him well.

@lilli @georgia @VeganMemes Oh great does this mean I'm gonna have to stop drinking milk now. I love milk.

@georgia @lilli @VeganMemes Broccoli is yum

@lilli @VeganMemes Is this a risk with all eggs or just some? I live in the UK.

It's definitely not a risk with roadside eggs that probably come from chickens that roam people's backyards.

@georgia @lilli @VeganMemes I wish I didn't crave meat.

@gentoobro @VeganMemes Correct response. But I could flip it on it's head.
Are you pro-animal-life? Or do only human (fetuses) deserve life?

Beautiful Budleigh Buns - the Rocks on This Beach Are SO PRETTY But I Cannot Possess Them! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMsE_zGYv2s

It is a good question.  The Coastal Protection Act 1949 forbids removal of all materials from beaches, which, if taken extremely literally, means a child would be committing a crime when they bring home a seashell, or indeed, you’d be committing a crime of negligence if you walk away with a bit of sand in your shoe. Obviously there is some nuance required.

Reality:  People are expected to be reasonable. You’re probably not going to be in trouble for taking one rock. This law exists primarily to provide a means to prosecute people or companies who exploit the mineral resources on a bulk or commercial scale, which would cause damage to the coastline.  It must be so, because whilst this law exists, and applies everywhere, you will also find official signage at fossil beaches which tell you about the fossils you can find there with an expectation that they will be collected and taken home.

My interpretation of all this:  be reasonable in general, obey local rules, and in my particular case as a content creator, be responsible - don’t encourage people to disobey the locally-posted rules.

Why was the law worded that way then? Absolutely idiotic.

@JonBaker Legally, you're only allowed to call it shitposting if it came from sticking a Cat5 cable up your rear

@interfluidity People are still allowed to say that court decisions are wrong, for instance.

@interfluidity No, because that's necessary for keeping the peace. And it's not the same thing as judging truth and falsehood in order to censor people.
