Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

@paul_la I keep buying SSHDs. They combine a spinning platter with a permanent SSD cache. Really nice, they combine the benefits of SSDs with the benefits of HDDs. Only thing is, nobody has made new models for years, so 2TB is as big as they get.

@devtrospective based AF japan

@hn100 Does handing all the business to China count as being "less global"?

Because within 10-20 years I don't know if there's going to be an American tech brand left.

@bufordk The really strange ironic protest where women pretend to be dead to protest not being able to murder children.

Tell me that Grammarly doesn't look like they're trying to get your grandma to install a fake antivirus on your computer.

This looks like a scam!

@FreyjaFrija I have to admit, the admin of fbxl social is unlikely to ban me, no matter what I say.

I've started using Nheko Reloaded as a native Matrix client on windows. Nightlies can be found here:

I know a lot of people were holding off on trying Matrix because of the lack of a decent native client.

@sizzletron lots of people never stopped working, the entire pandemic. Having the cowards coming out of the woodworking now to start making demands -- it's downright offensive.

@zerohedge I expect multiple sovereign debt crises.

You can't print forever, inflation will limit your ability to print. At that point bonds hit the free market and interest rates will naturally rise, and the federal debt alone is 5 times what it was when many of us rang alarm bells back in 2008.

If debt maintenance costs only go back to 2007 levels, debt maintenance will take more money than any individual program in the federal budget. If they double (which has more than happened in my millennial lifetime) then debt maintenance will take up every single dollar of tax money.

Don't tax the rich, stop handing them all the money instead.

@boilingsteam this specific product may or may not take off, but it seems to me that the next big tech is going to be entirely developed in China. US tech companies have for the most part gotten complacent and arrogant thinking they don't need to innovate anymore.

Remember Canadians, advance polling is still open until the end of the day today! Vote PPC and let's get our freedom back from these fascist monsters!

@11112011 kinda looks like a shoop da woop

@terryenglish @nerdman @11112011 Communists have a habit of coming in after all the work is done and the risks are all taken and have paid off and claiming the results.

Oh, look at that.

First draft of my book is complete! 61k words, 164 pages. By any count, novel length (but it's not a novel)

@realcaseyrollins @Hyolobrika I think the basis is history. We rushed DDT and Thalidomide, the former resulted in environmental devastation, the latter resulted in kids being born with flipper arms. Even something like baby powder that was deemed safe forever ended up having asbestos in it and causing increased rates of cancer.

It takes 9 months to make a baby no matter how many women you throw at the problem, and it takes a long term to complete long-term testing no matter how many people you test.
