Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

If you're not gaming, it's really easy to forget which OS you're even using if you've got your various OSes set up reasonably well.

It's the gubbmint coming to demand taxes from the poor fox man!

Hate crimes aren't hate crimes when they do it!

(Actually, they are)

Gigablast crashes a lot. I'd take it off the list, but it's one of the only non big tech search engines out there, so I keep it there and deal with the error messages. The other engines it looks at still provide results.

I believe the current situation is complicated and multipolar. I consider people with gender dysphoria to be "real trans", and a lot of people simply aren't that.

I wouldn't care since people should be able to live however they please and I'm certainly not perfect enough to say that they're wrong, except that "the community", a bunch of psycho authoritarians who want to use the power of the state to force me to care under the barrel of a gun.

I've been lamenting the LGBT folks who as always just want to be left alone. They are caught in the crossfire, and there's no way they'll come out the other side of this insanity as good as things were 10 years ago.

That's reasonable, given that I don't know much about Page other than a few movie roles, so I don't know what their political opinions are.

If you assume that a trans person just has gender dysphoria, then such a person could have all kinds of opinions.

The only thing I get a kick out of is the idea that Page would get to understand that it isn't all sunshine and rainbows and people running up to you to give you opportunities when you're passing as a man.

Reminds me of that line from fight club. "We cook your meals. We haul your trash. We connect your calls. We drive your ambulances. We guard you while you sleep. Do not fuck with us."

But we do so much more than that. You can't eat money.

Tfw you can't just buy the toggamn software!

I have a chapter in The Graysonian Ethic where I talk about my family, and I talk about my grandfather, who was a decorated war hero in WWII, the Italian theatre. He grew increasingly upset watching the free country he fought for become less free, and he died long before the woke era.

I can't help but think that we need to remember their sacrifice, and what they made that sacrifice for. They didn't do it because they hated Germany, they did it because they loved the countries they were a part of. The Germans were the enemy in combat, but they were considered other people just doing their job.

The other thing I remember is why the National Socialists were able to take over Germany; Everyone told the German people that they were monsters for decisions nobody outside the ruling class made, everyone told them to pay reparations for things they didn't personally do, and everyone in Germany suffered under those reparations. Tell everyone they're the devil long enough, and if some asshole with a tiny moustache says "No, we're good people and we're gonna fight back" then things got bad because they might've been good people, but he wasn't.

The way that the winners built up Japan and Germany after World War 2 was the epoch of wisdom, wisdom we've sadly lost to time.

Lest we forget, but we as a society have forgotten.

You have to admit, the response was downright impressive!

Imagine, running over a little old lady with a horse, and when people start to get mad the response is "don't worry, the horse is okay!" -- that's the sort of thing that you couldn't put into a serious movie because it's just unrealistic.

[Admin Mode] server was down, baby got it's diaper off and peed on the server. Back up now but damn it stinks. The things I do for you effing people. (J/k)

I just found it in the pixels, like Michaelangelo found David within the slab of marble.

Been wanting to make this for a while. Now it exists.

I get an unhealthy amount of mileage out of this imagemacro.

I've been exposed to the concept of "digital twin" before -- essentially, it's just creating a model of the real-world asset in digital form. For example, if you have an industrial plant with a motor, you might have one spot where you have all the information about that motor, any motor controls, and manuals, any drawings, all in one spot, and likely situated in a 3d model.

It won't change the world if you have proper recordkeeping already.

Confirmed? (I remember this issue. "I'm the Son of Sim" was this article where the guy acted like a serial killer in The Sims. Man, this was just a great magazine -- no wonder it died and PC Gamer survived...)

This magazine was great as something purely about the craft of video games. One of the columnists was Irrational Games' Ken Levine where he wrote a lot about the craft of making video games.

It was sad seeing it disappear, yet PC Gamer remains. ๐Ÿ˜

PC Accelerator was the undisputed king of "art" inside the pages (that may or may not get stuck together for no reason at all)

Who would blame the farmers? It's the fault of the fascistic central planners who have meddled directly in our lives without regard for the consequences.
