"global elites declare world is not controlled by a global elite, at their meeting about how to control the world"
Moving from a somewhat rural town to a huge city, I called it "pristine pollution" and really missed the stars. In the right sort of twilight, you can actually see why people saw constellations as creatures in the sky because they're right there.
He's one of der fuhrer Trudeau's subjects. This is just how we say good morning. "Sieg Heil! Der Fuhrer protects against COVID!" we say, and then we take another booster.
Seeing these people say they fucking love science is to me the same as when they start quoting the bible to justify them getting whatever they want.
It's like "shut up. You don't know the first thing about that, and if you did you'd hate it."

If nation-state levels of resources are to be directed at software, it makes sense for those resources to be directed at software that then becomes a public good.
Unless such states want to buy billions of dollars of software from me, then we should definitely go with making me unspeakably rich for no good reason. Nobody else though.

I often have a recurring dream where for some reason I'm back in college (in a school I've never been to before), and I don't have a copy of my schedule, so I'm wandering around these huge hallways trying to figure out where the hell I'm supposed to be.
Then I wake up and remind myself that I graduated 15 years ago and have no reason to worry about it.
I think the dream is really about uncertainty. I've been making a lot of the right calls in the past few years, and I've been ok, but it sure feels scary seeing the things I've had to make calls to protect myself from. There's inflation, there's rising interest rates, there's a spectre of global famine, there's the psychotic woke cult and their political allies. It's a scary world out there, and sometimes it feels like you're late for class and don't know which room it's in...

I had a bad experience with the passport office so I was going to be snippy and be like "you dealing with these guys too?" But then it turned out to re dealing with the exact same garbage bureaucrats.
Unironically sorry. It's horrid and we should send all these bureaucrats on a rocket ship into outer space before blowing out the airlock.

You know, I'm now on week 3 of trying to get my passport.
The federal government wants to have every single piece of information about every single piece of my life, but they can't figure out who I am when I'm standing in front of them with a birth certificate and a driver's license.
Feel like these guys are trying to run marathons before they've learned how to breathe using lungs.

It's well established that when the labor pool shrinks, working conditions improve because employers end up competing for fewer workers. Stuff like the black death or large wars often have worker conditions and wages considerably improve on the other side.
That's why the shrinking worker population is so scary to the powers that be, despite the fact that their other plans essentially require it.
