Yeah, but if you like 4 of them and there ends up being like 12 books in each series it gets complicated fast!
I presently have an Isekai problem: too many damn Isekai series. So every time I'm like "ok, is this the series about the wimp who became strong through hard work and industriousness, or the one about the wimp who became strong through hard work and industriousness?"
This rememberance day, look and realize that we forgot.
I've written before about the story of my grandfather. He lied about his age to join the army, and fought fascists in Italy in world war 2. His body was damaged permanently by war wounds, and he watched his friends die sometimes without warning.
He came back and watched the freedoms he fought for slowly trickle away. It's a good thing he's dead, because a good God would never let him see what we did for the past 2 years.
We forgot their sacrifice and what they fought for. The only way to honor our brave and esteemed ancestors is to fight back against the establishment to get back the freedom they fought to protect.

Blafkpill take: what if a simple drug could make *everyone* so selfless that only a minority of unmedicated individuals could take advantage of that selflessness and take even more than they do now?
lol imagine unironically going along with the whole "all russians are bad because Putin is bad, so ban all russian things" thing.

The story of the 1000 year old loli isn't actually fiction. that's the Japanese people in general. After you've been married for over 9000 years it's time to go find fresh blood, someone who's only 60 or 70 years old.
Never accept a drink from a politician period. Their entire existence is to find ways to screw you and make you think they're doing you a favor while doing it.
I dunno about you guys, but I work for money, not for fart sniffing intellectual superiority.
That's what I post on the Internet for!

Without the system forcing their views down everyone's throat, most of them aren't really that interesting.
I mean, I'm not that interesting either, but I don't expect anyone to bow down before my greatness.

Possibly. That's probably one reason why religion in general has such strong memetic value as a metaphysic: You take a bunch of answers that basically worked before and use those instead of trying to rebuild the world one brick at a time, because what's the point of rebuilding something that basically works if it's more or less interchangeable with anything else that basically works?
