Such ideas might work if everyone was a good faith actor, but many people aren't. I like the example of walking around the mall of America with your personal information on a giant sign above your head. I like a lot of what Peterson has to say, but he's totally wrong on the whole "anonymity will make people nice" thing. It's wrong, it's stupid, and it's dangerous. The fact that he's had his academic career totally destroyed should be a clue-in as to why some people might not want to attach their real identities to true opinions.
