The one thing I don't like is starting history in 1900. There's a lot of important lessons before that, including that yes, the federal government can and has paid off it's debts in full in the past!

Been bringing the server up and down a lot lately to do various things to improve performance, but man has it ever been paying off. I know it's monday night so there isn't a lot going on with federation, but still... That's an absurd load number!
One thing I noticed with friendica is that it takes forever to do federation since it's doing it all with php on a cron job (as I recall, I could be wrong since it's been a couple years), whereas other platforms use native code to handle federation.
Not a problem if you're not federating much or you have plenty of hardware, but at the time I was using not nearly enough hardware for the job and I love federating with new instances.
