Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

Absolutely.

This didn't start in 2020. It didn't start in 2008. It didn't start in 2003. It started in the late 90s, and you could even make an argument that it started with Reagan.

Gonna get worse before it gets better.

Worst part is that all this was predictable and predicted. "Oh, you're just being stupid, there won't be any consequences" ok...

Algorithms are strange bedfellows.

I've been reading more about central american civilizations, and it's really interesting. Essentially, it doesn't matter where the people came from because all the cultural leaders were killed and replaced with spanish colonialists, and all the old books were burned (which is a tragedy to history regardless of the merit of the civilization), and the culture of the region was replaced with spanish culture.

Why North American colonies and South American colonies diverged so heavily is really curious.

Can I make this the report form for my instance?

"Someone was a jerk! Ban them from the Internet!"

Peter Schiff should be required listening for anyone who wants a comprehensive understanding of economics. He's not always right so you need a lot more to have a full understanding, but his viewpoint is important and predicts a lot of things other people can't predict at all.

Not to mention how many so-called "right wing conspiracies" came right out of the left wing just a few years before.

From the people who brought you "Voting machines may be compromised" and "Big Pharma is run by evil people who just want to make money" comes "Voting machines are the most secure thing the human race has ever created" and "Big Pharma are literally christ figures who will never do anything wrong because they love you"

Creative commons is a licensing system that lets the author give others certain rights to works they wouldn't normally have, such as sharing or using in other works, or even cc zero which is essentially granting a work to the public domain by relinquishing all rights.

Complicated, boring Twitter or fediverse.

That's a good point. They only things they tolerate are transgressive to the culture they want to destroy. The moment it's their taboos being broken suddenly it's Haram and death to the infidels.

It's ironic that the greatest purveyors of hatred in the world pretend that they're against hate. They don't realize that what they're really saying is you are totally free to be anything you want as long as it is what they tell you to be.

Businesses with competent management should have mitigation plans in place. Unfortunately, government isn't competent. They aren't rewarded for that, they're rewarded with bigger budgets for being incompetent.

Unironically, you see families that absolutely should not have kids, and they seem to be fine. Meanwhile, families that have every reason in the world to have kids live in terror of having their kids snatched up. Completely arbitrary.

That's ok, because I know it takes 14 minutes for CFS to get to the house.

And in 13.5 minutes, somebody gonna get hurt real bad.

Uploading my reading list to a bookwyrm instance, and it's lowkey hilarious. I've got a reading list from kindle of 180 books, and every time it's like "I've never heard of that book, did you mean Das Kapital or Harry Potter?"

The deep state doesn't want you to know this, but the spies in central park are free. I have 420 spies living in my basement.
