Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

My favorite part is that they don't understand... Virtually no mining takes place without fossil fuels. There are mines that call themselves all electric, until you actually go there and realize either that they rely on on site generation so they burn diesel fuel, or they rely on mine air heaters that burn millions of liters of natural gas or propane.

The amount of energy we would have to magically find in order to replace fossil fuels in mining is astronomical.

"lady who was instrumental in causing financial crisis tells us that there is no financial crisis"

Cool, so since everyone is so opposed to book bannings we're going to bring back all those Mark Twain books that dropped the n-bomb right?

Ooooooh. I guess it turns out they're not against censorship at all. They're just against censorship when it's controversial messages that they want directed at children.

Peter Schiff has talked about it a lot over the years (There might be other examples of people talking about it but I didn't find any in 3 seconds of searching), that part of a market crash is a "slope of hope" where there's high volatility and people think that the market is turning back around so they buy back in, then they quickly lose their money. This is how seemingly sophisticated traders can lose everything in a market crash.

Remember that these are the same people who think Christianity is entirely about not judging anything or anyone ever.

I feel for the alleged beneficiaries of wokeness (the minorities), because the backlash is going to be far worse than anything it was intended to prevent.

It's the ultimate in modern colonial mindset: These rich and powerful elites waltz in like they own the place, spew their bullshit all over the place, and they'll quickly leave once it starts to smell and there's no more clout to extract.

In areas where new peak fees were added to pay for "green energy", there's been a boom in in situ generation. In some regions, that means they remove industrial plants or buildings from the grid power that's often powered by hydroelectric or nuclear, and they start burning diesel fuel right there.

It's amazing watching people make shit up to explain what would be obvious to anyone with eyes.

There's a labor shortfall because a massive proportion of the population doesn't want to work and doesn't have to.

You can't compare a 4% unemployment rate when there's a 60% workforce participation rate with 6% when there's a 95% workforce participation rate.

Yet people keep doing it because that way we don't need to talk about reality, we can discuss fake problems with fake causes and fake solutions while multiple generations rot in their parents guest rooms.

It sure seems like we're in a period of Hypernormalisation; "They lie to us, we know they're lying, they know we know they're lying, but they keep lying to us, and we keep pretending to believe them"

The reality is so harsh that everyone needs to pretend we're still in normal times because the alternative is accepting that the hordes are upon us and we're backed against the wall and there's nowhere to retreat to backwards and no way to win the battle fighting forwards.

True facts. The Americans made fun of the Europeans for hanging onto ancient hatreds, but then just created new ancient hatreds to cling to.

Should the Irish hate on the English? Should the English hate on the Italians for the Roman empire? Should the descendants of the zapotecs hate on the descendants of the mixtecs?

It's fine once you use windows decrapifier, windows shutup10+, and a start menu replacement (openshell works well, before they fixed their windows 11 support I used Start11 and it works well too).

I love it when a plan comes together. Not much design, but almost 2 days of printing, but I gave it to the little guy and he immediately started putting his fingers in the letters, just as planned.

I mean, I understand why someone would want refuge from being in Germany, but it doesn't actually meet the legal standard.

Nature is healing, the automobiles are returning to the earth.

Psionic farts are the worst farts.

When you've been going deeper into debt for 21 years, it's time to put stuff back on the table.

Because at the rate we're going, nobody will have anything.

What a stupid thing to say.

There's an overwhelming amount of evidence, and the only way to miss it is to be willfully ignorant of the truth.

But I suppose that's what I should come to expect from the establishment, willful ignorance. If they were to accept reality they'd have to sudoku themselves.

Word is he's going to fund those who oppose his legs to try to maintain power.

Joe Biden in 2023 is the Democrats George W. Bush.

The parallels are striking.

Printing this bad boy. It's intended to be a toy where you can touch the letters.
