Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

The defender of the concept of faith. Put your faith in him and he'll fight to ensure you continue to recognise that the concept exists metaphysically.

I'm surprised you guys have so much lip for a guy who is clearly holding a holy hand grenade and can take you out at any time!

Eminem after 2015 be like:

"I'm Eminem. I like men. My pronouns are they and them"

I misread that as "I dropped the sofa" and everything was topsy turvy for a moment.

I learned today that #lotide can apparently follow friendica groups thanks to this post. Interoperability ftw

The fediverse is a concept more like the original internet -- a bunch of little pieces that connect together independently without some broader authority exercising power over it.

Short-sighted people would prefer there be an overarching authority because they imagine that they themselves would be in charge of that overarching authority. Whatever you think of Elon Musk, his takeover of Twitter is a perfect example of the fact that power changes hands, and some people will like the new powers, and other people won't, but it doesn't matter whether you like them or not they will be the ones with their boot on your neck.

By contrast, a distributed system like the fediverse lacks and overarching power to implement policies that you would like, but also lacks and overarching power to implement policies that you don't like. Instead, individual operators get to choose how they want to run things in their little domain.

"Use your eyeballs to watch for photons being sent from your monitor. These photons will activate receptors in your eyeballs, allowing you to recieve a direct read-only connection from the machine."

Delicious manmade horrors well within my comprehension

Just wear pants or a gown before you die. Wtf. "Quickly family, gather round as I whip out my dick for the customary watching of the living man's penis for the last time. Oh shit skeet skeet skeet!"

The Chretien liberals were a-ok by me. Not perfect, but they did balance budgets and paid down about 1/5th of the debt during their tenure.

Trudeau's liberals are just not the same thing.

"oh but the Fediverse will never become mainstream if we don't do this"

Literally don't care. My feed has so much awesome content from intelligent and creative and funny people I don't need a barrage of bore from a bunch of pre-programmed flesh robots. That doesn't add anything for me.

Do it like berma shave ads

True facts.

I have a conception of anti depressants as emotional morphine.

If you have a giant gash, morphine will help it stop hurting, but you've still got a giant gash, and it'll bleed out or get infected so you need to treat it or the patient will die even if they don't feel any pain.

If you don't feel any pain, you will go swimming with that gash, or go for a hike with two broken legs. Not healthy.

For real. Good guys are bombarded by messages saying women probably don't want them and they're bad people for assuming they do. As a result, good guys will always err towards assuming they're imagining things.

Important to remember that although some Republicans have found the benefits of Freedom, they're still the ones who were doing the same thing the woke are doing with respect to banning speech they don't like just a generation ago.

Apparently in a recent study, 51% of Canadians claim they'd vote to become a republic and drop ties to a monarchy if a referendum happened.

When Elizabeth was the queen, I would have leaned slightly royalist, and with Charles as King I probably lean slightly Republican, but I'd be fine either way.

I recall that many of these groups are funded by oil companies.

Probably because insane people destroying art to advocate for genocide are good optics...for the other side.
