Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

If you eject your video card, how will you know when it's safe to remove?

Judge saying "I'll allow it"

Bathing at least once a week is basically kryptonite for women. It isn't even fair to their delicate constitutions. Our modern times are unable to comprehend such magnificence.

Article title: "No (Stupid), COVID mandates are not coming back."

Article body: "While it is true that COVID mandates are coming back..."

I was reading an article that was shocked that fact checks by the media have no impact anymore. Maybe the writers should read "The boy who cried wolf"?

"While everything he said is true, we're the NYT so FACT CHECK: FALSE"

It is, but it's a lot less broken than og daggerfall.

I've been playing games from these guys since daggerfall. It's always been terribly broken and amazing.

Some of the best parts about daggerfall were the broken parts. Its Like "wow this isn't fair, but life isn't fair."

Fair enough. That's most people

I seems to me that ChatGPT is a solvable problem for teachers. It isn't very smart, you can create a prompt it cannot correctly answer.

The thing I don't get is... Why is anyone surprised? The guy has more lid days during his campaign than not. He napped in his basement and let msnbc carry his campaign. People got exactly what it said on the tin!

The world is always changing, so one must cultivate personal virtue, so you can become the sort of person who can think for themselves and decide for yourself what you want out of life under any given circumstance.

Life's answers may change but what won't change is that tomorrow you'll need to live with yesterday's choices, so you should strive to be someone you can be proud of, and someone with a moral center that can help you decide for yourself right from wrong in specific complex situations rather than letting someone else decide for you.

Skepticism and personal grit are important because other people will want to pressure or persuade you to do what is best for them not for you.

Its difficult, but you represent an unbroken line of winners going back to the first single celled life form including multiple mass extinction events so you're made of what it takes to succeed too.

Huh! Matrix Conduit seems to support spaces now. That's a nice upgrade since a lot of communities use spaces instead of individual rooms.

Far as I'm concerned, if the former is a religion and so the state ought not to be allowed to endorse it, the latter is too.

If only it was cheap.

Yeah..... If you could just not get raped by Poseidon in my temple..... That'd be greeeeeeeat...

I can think of one really good reasons Christians shouldn't worship Athena.

I'm certainly hoping that if they try, the natural consequences of such a ridiculous set of actions would play out.

I was on a road trip this week, and I ended up stopping off at a few really small cities. Kenora, Dryden, Ignace.

Everywhere we stopped, it was east Indians.

Now, I've got no problem with those folks. I know that there's lots of stereotypes, but the ones that I know are fine. I've lived with them and I've worked with them.

But here's the thing: this is something that just happened in the past 15 or 20 years. People who aren't aware of northwestern ontario, it's been facing the same issues as rust-belt america. When I graduated from high school in Dryden in 2001, it took me 8 months to find any kind of job at all because the paper mill had just laid off 2/3 of its workers, and over the past 15 to 20 years that has continued to be the trend. I'm still in touch with one of my teachers, and the city hasn't been thriving. It's been slowly turning into a place where tax money gets deposited.

Everyone's had to leave. So why on the planet Earth would a bunch of new migrants end up in those cities and towns? It isn't like either one of those places has any particular School systems, you're not moving to Ignace or kenora to go to university. I don't know, who told them that filling out these dying cities is a good idea?

Canada has a new program that helps provide 100% immunity to covid. Its called MAAID. It's a quick procedure, and if you go through with it, 0% of the people who get the procedure get covid afterwards.

Is that being the case, I think that everyone who is afraid of covid should go out and take advantage of this program, and we won't have a problem anymore. They'll be protected from covid. They'll be protected from long covid too! It provides total protection.

I'm firmly against the demeritocracy creating a new aristocracy of losers. But just treating people in such a way that they have the universal basic right to go out and live normal lives, I don't see any reason to be opposed to that.
