"Numbah one, I simply don't understand why anyone would be opposed to the economic system that caused 100 million deaths. We don't have any wars over Janewayism, and that's caused way more deaths, and that's just in this timeline!"
MP3 is already a file format so old it has made it through several waves of crippling existential angst. "Holy crap I'm 30 what the hell have I even done with my life?!?"
Geez, if you put most canadian cities on the list it wouldn't be flattering. "Come live somewhere freezing cold where food is super expensive at only the cost of over 100% of income for most people in the world just to cover rent!"
The famous White cliffs of Dover gain their white color from a well-known compound: chalk. CaCO3. Absolute mountains of the stuff. Mountains that were formed by billions of years of tiny life forms with tiny little limestone shells dying and falling to the bottom of the oceans. The White cliffs of Dover are one example of this, but by far not the only one. There are chalk deposits all around the world. One microorganism, and then more microorganisms one at a time over millions of years microscopically living and dying and becoming mountains. This helps illustrate the impossible nature of geological time-frames.
Nobody I know who took the vaccine died. However, there was a high incidence of getting really sick -- I did, my dad did, a bunch of my coworkers did. After my second dose I eventually became really lightheaded and afterwards slept for 24 hours, only waking up long enough to wolf down a meal.
I'm confident that someone in their 80s who was hit with the same level of illness could be in danger of death.
The relatively young age of women who died is surprising. What's unique that meant such young women died?

At the very least the voters tried. If meloni goes full UK cuckservative it's not for lack of trying from the electorate.
People have often accused conservatives of self-sabatoge.
The summer of love combined with covidimania was the greatest PR win for the right in 70 years and possibly one of the greatest unforced errors in political history, and all the right needed to do was not act like similarly petulant children.
If you want to now why there's now a right wing government in italy, in argentina, in belgium, why there's a track to one in Canada, why the labour party in the UK is suddenly stealing conservative taking points, why it's presently looking like Donald Trump will be the next president in the US, that's why.

Yesterday I talked about moonlight and the potential it had to act as a dumb terminal. I put it on for a longer term test, and let it stream youtube videos overnight. Other than losing communications once because my router reboots after which I reconnected, the setup worked perfectly overnight. Pretty amazing technology!
I was trying to get nfs2 se to work and found that control keys don't work great. That makes a lot of sense tbh since it's a gaming platform and not a remote desktop platform per se.

I got moonlight going on my handheld, but it really wasn't great. It started off promising but the performance just wasn't there trying to stream to it and so I would watch 7 seconds go by and a change on the display wouldn't make it to the remote unit. It could just be that a usb wireless n network card can't keep up, but it could also be that the weak CPU on the handheld can't keep up.
HOWEVER
The toolchain of "Sunshine" as a server and moonlight as a client is a game changer for my chromebook (armhf architecture) running debian. Suddenly I can use the tiny fanless laptop as a thin client for my main PC. In fact, I'm writing this post from that chromebook while listening to a youtube video, and all that's happening on the main PC. Writing a post in a web browser isn't that important, this thing can already surf the web. What this thing can't do is virtually everything else I can do with a full power PC. I don't have terrabytes of storage, or an RTX video card, or tons of memory, or lots of CPU power, but I have all that on my main PC.

On my RG-35+ I've been playing more with the ports system, because there's some really interesting stuff in there.
C-Dogs worked perfectly, an open source port of cyber-dogs.
Descent 1 and 2 work perfectly, really fast.
DevilutionX was a bit of a pain to get going, but handheld diablo you can play multiplayer is pretty exciting and it works well.
Drally worked perfectly, death rally was one of the greats back in the day.
Flare looks like a really cool game, the controls are a bit wonky.
GTA3 and GTA Vice City worked perfectly once I had the files in the port folder.
Moonlight I still haven't gotten working, it goes right up to the 99% then just stops. It's high on my priority list to get going, I think it'll be a great thing to get going.
Stardew valley required me to change my installation of stardew valley to the compatibility branch. Once I did that, I was able to drop the files into the port and it takes forever to load but runs great.
Urquan masters and VVVVV also worked great.
So overall, this little diversion into native ports for this weird handheld of mine has been really interesting. Being able to go online means a lot of really interesting opportunities! In particular being able to play multiplayer native games on handheld with a PC is pretty interesting!
