Both posts strike me as really strange.
First, willpower is self-control, not external control.
Second, of course willpower exists under Christian ideology, because God granted us free will to make choices. you might be thankful to God for giving you the strength to choose to do the right thing, but you did ultimately make the choice...
I mean, maybe I'm wrong, I'm not exactly the most Christian person on the planet as I've said before, but that's the way I understand it at least.

Congress hasn't been able to pass a budget in time in 27 years, but they've got impeccable timing in the stock market.

Yeah, she was great. As I recall, she was pushing back against all the bullshit back when the party was still under cuck O'Toole chasing the ndp-lite-lite vote.
I feel like virtually any AI trained using the Internet as a data set is going to have inherent bias first because of the bias in tech, and second because most posts on major websites would be created by chronically online individuals who unfortunately are overwhelmingly likely to have a degree of ideological homogeneity.
I like the idea of training an AI on something like project gutenberg. Naturally there will still be bias from old out of print books, but if you have all kinds of books from all around history I suspect you could biases that aren't super relevant, like a bias against Carthrige or the Mongol hordes.

Second definition: Drunk rice (or rice while you're drunk)
Possibly rice while you're drunk on rice wine you drank

I feel like this is an axiomatic thing.... When you legalize a thing, most of the things that would get you arrested don't anymore. I think Canada's had a pretty low number of pot busts since they legalized pot.
It's very disrespectful calling people who break the law criminals. I think she tripped and lost her way, accidentally ending up in the wrong political party.

"Congress hasn't completed a budget resolution on time since 2003 and has not even adopted a budget resolution at all in ten out of the last 20 years. And it has been more than 25 years since lawmakers enacted all appropriations bills before the beginning of the new fiscal year."
So *some* people sorta are waiting for them to finish stuff.

It sure is a good thing there's nothing else going on in the world right now so they can really dig in and spend their time working on stuff like this.
Jesus Christ, Microsoft needs to stop jumping on every fad. "NOW WE MADE A TABLET OS! NOW WE HAVE A CRAPPY ASSISTANT YOU'LL IGNORE! NOW WE HAVE AI!"
Sit down, shut up, and fix your shit.

Honestly, I bet he does.
I mean, walking into the halls of congress has gotta smell like old man farts and ben-gay in general.

In a lot of ways, it seems to me that schools should be part of a community, particularly when there are 2-parent households where one of the parents is a stay at home parent. Fewer administrators, and much more direct involvement by parent volunteers.
One thing I love about reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer with my son is that while I'm reading about this little kid being a fearless little twit, my son is trying to launch himself head first off the couch and only seems to care about the consequences once his face hits the ground. "Boys will be boys" indeed!
If there's anything we're learning, it's that we need to fight for our kids and make sure they have the skills they're going to need in life, because the corrupt government institutions are more interested in pushing their political agendas than doing the job they're mandated to do.
Raising a competent and moral child is a marathon, and these institutions are becoming spike strips along the path.

Did people shift right, or are they still basically where they were before but the world shifted so dramatically that people who were relatively progressive are now considered far right?
Most people forget that Obama and Hillary Clinton ran on not allowing gay marriage back in 2008, and it was only once the supreme court mandated that gay marriage be legal that democrats stopped saying they only supported civil unions. I even remember sex ed (normal boring vanilla sex ed) being controversial enough that you needed a permission form in some jurisdictions, but today the conversation has shifted to whether mandatory public schooling should give kids access to gay porn, and whether we should defund catholic schools if they refuse to pledge allegiance to the flag of LGBT2S+ukraine+palestine+all other current things.
When I was growing up, the idea that the left in a place like Canada would threaten to take away your ability to use money because you supported a human rights protest would be unthinkable, but der fuhrer and his pomeranian lapdog did just that to me and a lot of people just like me just a couple years ago.
