I lowkey kinda think it's really funny calling the ladies on spinster incels.
"Ladies, you'll never know.....the.....touch..........of a woman....... Uh, so there?"

There are also places where centigrade and fahrenheit put their differences aside to agree it's -40.
Interac handles small payments all the time without handing all control to the central banks.
It's very doable but they just want to do it for various reasons.

Covid is the new terrorism. "Be afraid of this thing so we can do whatever we want"
Even now there's people freaking out because they were told to be afraid.

"You'll see I'm greenscreened into the office because I get to work from home because I'm the CEO, bitch."
Nobody but John Bolton liked John Bolton, and yet there he was, one of many swamp monsters whispering in Trump's ear.

Some reality. -41, how many solar panels you think it'd take to not die every day?
There's actually 2 things people who never experience that kind of cold don't understand.
1. the coldest days are crystal clear, not a cloud in the sky, because clouds keep in the heat. The problem is that the sun isn't up long enough or intense enough to actually heat the air.
2. the coldest days don't snow because the snow just stops as it gets so cold. It's too cold to snow because it's too cold for any moisture to speak of to be in the air.
It's counter to everything most human beings have ever experienced.

Honestly, 100%.
"Here's a list of things he said he'd do that he didn't", "Here's a list of idiots he appointed to positions of power that ended up betraying him", "Here's how much the budgets he ran added to the federal debt", "Here's the things he could have done during the summer of love but didn't"
Nope, instead it's "oh no he's so amazing and great we better abuse our powers to make sure we get him in undemocratic ways because he'll definitely win the election because he's so great"

Trump wasn't even able to get the military to tell the truth about the number of troops in the middle east, and he's supposed to somehow order them to take over a country filled with people raised from birth to worship the republic?
Well, and also that the amount of stuff went down, for example because they shut the planet earth down for years.
At that point, no amount of price increases can help increase the amount of stuff being produced since the stuff makers were shut down by government fiat.

Most americans, and even many Canadians who have never left their enclaves in southern Ontario and Vancouver island think that when I say things like 40 below I'm being hyperbolic, but I'm not. These are just the temperatures in large parts of Canada. It's so cold you can feel your soul being pulled from your body.
We're in a really bad moment in Canada's economy, probably as bad as the great depression. I would not be surprised to discover that a lot of decent people are finding themselves homeless right now, and it was ok in December as we had one of the warmest Decembers in history, but January in Canada will kill you dead and a flimsy tent ain't gonna do anything to help.
That really gets me to thinking. I think I'll be making sure we do whatever we can to help the local shelters.
