Sherrif departments seem to be unique in pushing back against the behemoth

The Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) is a political organization of local police officials in the United States who contend that federal and state government authorities are subordinate to the local authority of county sheriffs and police. Self-described constitutional sheriffs assert that they are the supreme legal authority with the power and duty to defy or disregard laws they regard as unconstitutional.

It has been described as far-right by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The more i learn about the Orthodox church the more i appreciate it

I think it literally is.

I heard Thomas Massie on a podcast once talking about how committee positions are bought and paid for. Basically you have to up your fundraising for the party to get those committee slots, and they control what legislation comes out for votes.

More likely pressure from the entire DC maachine to drop it.

It isn't about Joe, it's about every other politician who makes money off graft and corruption like he does and they don't want to normalize looking into those closets.

It is a tangled web and everyone would be implicated.

Same reason we'll never see the Epstein list..

> John Kerry’s stepson rushed to play damage control at the State Department after his business partner Hunter Biden cut a deal with an oligarch-owned Ukrainian gas company

tfw you realize you’re going to have to make another list…

Pope Francis removed Bishop Joseph Strickland who has become a staunch critic of the pontiff in recent months.

In 2020, Strickland called the church “weak” and “not clear” and dared the pontiff to fire him, The National Catholic Reporter (NCR) reported earlier this year.

The AP reported Strickland also took aim at Francis’s recent meeting on hot-topic issues, including in the integration LGBTQ+ Catholics, the potential for woman deacons and access to the priesthood for married men.

Oh, that's why.

So were they actually climate protestors? I saw posts saying they were protesting wef stuff

Vote harder i guess? 🤷‍♂️

You said the right is in power in Scandinavia.

All i see are a few examples of attempts at bare minimum common sense immigration control.

This is xenophobic Nazism?

> cooperation to return immigrants without legal residence in the region to their countries of origin

That article is chalk full of buzzwords, journalistic conjecture, and hyperbole, but the only specific justification i found for all the hand wringing was this quote:

> Social Democratic prime minister, Magdalena Andersson, said, “We don’t want a Chinatown, Somalitown, or Little Italy,”

So, ..is it wrong for Sweden to remain Swedish?

> the xenophobic right has made a brief comeback

Interesting.

What's a specific example of that?

In Scandinavia? Hard doubt on that.

yes, it's kind of wild that secret foreign funding of universities is allowed at all.

And also..

> Wall Street financiers are pressing elite schools to condemn criticism of Israel.

> he's a black man, too, so you can't criticize him

Someone around here once noted that people can't even leave their sports teams behind when moving state to state let alone cornerstone values and beliefs of the homes they left

"Who could have foreseen that mass immigration from cultures with totally different values and beliefs from their host nation could result in problems in the future?!"

I had seen references to "Viking chess" but it made it sound like a chess board made by the Vikings rather than its own unique game.

Tag me in the finished project. Sounds exceedingly cool.

The aggressor’s pieces would be twice as many as the protectors. The word “hnefi” stands for the king of this game. Why the middle-square is standing out on the board is because that is the location of the king-piece, surrounded by his small army of protectors. The whole point of the game is that the king should be able to escape in order for the player who plays the protective side of the game to win, and if the king doesn’t make it out of harm’s way, the player on the aggressors’ side would win.
