Hoping the theory that Trump is simply not interrupting Musk while he makes a mistake to take him down a peg is true..

@cjd

It's a tool to help the parents avoid having a conversation about losing

Same as it ever was..

Absolutely it is.

And fixing schools is the conversation that should be happening, rather than "how do we allow corporations to import cheaper talent?"

> floods in Spain caused by the left tearing down Franco's dams in the name of environmentalism; then the government refused to send help

Never heard of this. I wonder why.. ๐Ÿค”

I wish the people who were so fired up about hb1 visas were half as passionate about developing American talent to fill those needs..

But of course, that accepts the false premises that the issue is about a lack of talent, when really it is about driving down wages and getting talent at cheaper prices and on terms that ensure those workers can't leave the company since their visa is tied to their employment.

The people who live in the areas most affected were called "a basket of deplorables" by Hillary Clinton, and "garbage people" by Joe Biden.

Imagine what they say about them behind closed doors.

They don't want to help them. They aren't their constituency.

An uncontrolled open border has consequences??

Not true, but they probably do those things during the time "normal" people spend watching TV and doom scrolling.

@Howard-Kevin

"An unfortunate downside to gang nail plates is their contribution to sudden roof collapse in fire situations, making it more dangerous for firefighters to attempt on-the-roof operations. The large surface area of the plate conducts heat into the wood joint area, encouraging it to burn first and fail faster than one fastened with nails."

My New Year resolution is that this year I won't wait until Jan 1st to do something if it is worth doing.

Happy New Year!

The depth of their shenanigans is bottomless.

The British hated him and funded endless conflict against him.

Why?

Presumably because he represented the threat of upending the monarchies everywhere?

There's definitely a level of comfort that causes humans to become weak, leading to hard times, of course.

I wanted to be wrong about Musk

The right isn't upset that he is allowed to express his ideas.
