While serving in Congress, Gabbard co-sponsored legislation alongside Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., that sought to reform FISA and revoke the Patriot Act. She has since been all but forced to change her position on FISA, seemingly to gain support from some Republican senators.

Gabbard was asked about her evolving position on the law by the committee’s ranking member, Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va.

President Trump’s pick to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has never been shy about sharing her criticisms of America’s surveillance state. So, it came as no surprise when some of its biggest defenders grilled her on the subject during her Thursday Senate confirmation hearing.

"Help! I can't stop noticing!"

"Noticer" covers it pretty well.

Hard to not start asking questions if you pay any attention to anything..

I think that we should have a new category of “Conspiracy Theorists”.

I don’t actually form many theories, but I am interested in learning the truth and picking it out amongst the background of bullshit, propaganda, and intentional misdirection.

I’m not a theorist.

If anything maybe I’m a conspiracy observer, or conspiracy evaluator.

But I’m not always convinced everything is a conspiracy either (though it often is).

How about “Information evaluationist”?

> have kambla talk at you for 2 hours

Joe Rogan completely snaked Harris with his Trump interview, likely because her aides were doing the whole "40 year old foul mouthed millennials who act like children" bit that everyone hates

@grey >Canadian men
"Canadian" or Canadian born?

I don't know what you mean but I agree.

Open sourcing DeepSeek doesn't negate the propaganda built into the model. I don't really see why people think this is such a win. It's all propaganda, manufactured to get you to read more propaganda.

Drank an IPA on an empty stomach for lunch. Return to the office in a jovial mood.

Trump had better fucking not

He's aping our talking points again

"How do you know diversity caused this?"

"Because I have common sense"

My Norwegian aunt kept giving me sarcastic congratulations for Trump, Vance and Musk.

She brought up the "abortion ban", but got pretty shocked when I told her that my home state of Oregon allows 39 week gestation abortions, no need to document health risk.

I explained to her that it is up to the states, some people want a federal ban on abortions, but they are unlikely to succeed.

Norway has 3 months as a time limit for choosing to have abortion, more conservative than most blue states.

Imagine bleeding a toy store to death to pump up your numbers.

It is disgusting.

> the blame is perhaps to be placed most squarely on its private equity ownership. Toys R Us has spent more than $250m a year servicing $5bn in long term debt, which was “not a sustainable situation,”

They don't have a choice when the investors call the shots.

> Investors demand green line go up

Many such cases.

There words are nebulous and arguable, but in that context, this is the core problem with "capitalism" (not to be confused with "free markets").

Capitalism has no concern for wellbeing of the community, employees or even the company. In a way this behavior is parasitic. They end up destroying the host to squeeze more stock gains out of it.

it's embarrassing - I dislike Apple and I don't even want this for them.
