"Curing a madman is not arguing with a philosopher; it is casting out a devil."

GK Chesterton

@icare4america I feel like we're fighting demons like the people in an anime series.

@c Shove China in a locker and find out

I didn't vote fort this.

be honest...

I thought he would fix the economy!

be honest...

I voted for this because I'm a stupid racist

thank you

I didn't know much of Vance at all before Trump, but from what I see he is direct and to the point and unapologetic for being so and that is something sorely needed in government.

More like Itchy and Scratchy.

i love what the tarrifs are exposing.
the slow bleed of deindustrialization, and the offshoring of local economies to megacorporations with chinese factories until small town america is a wasteland with a giant Walmart Superstore in the center, is what Wall St, and this current system is built on. Its all a walmart superstore with cheap goods that break. its all Amazon electric vans that are 'so convienient'. its all Gamestop and Robinhood. And now, all the hedgefund billionaires are crapping their pants and wondering why they voted for Trump.
When the existing system screams and cries at the thought of a local, self reinforcing economy based on local labor, and local production, and goes epileptic at the idea of fair trade with a policy of reciprical tarrifs, you see first hand who was lying to your face, and who sold you down the river for their own luxury yacht fund.

Big doubt.

The US is the 800lb gorilla of global markets, nobody can really challenge it.

US is big enough and self-sufficient enough that it can kind of get away with cutting off the rest of the world. Replace income tax with tariffs would make it somewhat poorer, but not like EU level poor.

But it won't have to, because there will always be some country somewhere who is desperate enough to say "I'll do literally whatever you want to avoid being tariffed, send me the contract I will sign it" and the US can just send the list of tariffs to them, so they implement the same regime in exchange for free trade w/ the US.

Snowball starts rolling and before you know it you have a new WTO, just without China.

Everyone freaking out about stinks like it's the end of the world. I'm not very knowledgeable but are stonks just supposed to never go down? That's what people are acting like.

@Shlomo @Fash-E @Bad_Banner that as well as the political persecution of nationalist partys shows just how desperate these whoresons are.
they understand that without american backing, none of them will stay in power for long.
they are cowards and traitors driven by fear.
fear of there masters, fear of russia, fear of there political rivals, fear of there own population.
no one is as afraid of loosing power as someone who knows that they deserve retribution.

@Bad_Banner >Defend our interests
Very nice, now lets see her stance on immigration

Cuban's Ego for the win...๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Eiswald @AidanTTIerian @deprecated_ii @professionalbigot69 Suddenly free markets and free trade work and the stock market is real and important.

Tomorrow, when it enables screaming about trump, it'll be back to everything in the economy is fake.

Paul on X has the right idea: if you don't like rules, why move into an HOA?

"I don't feel bad for people who move into HOA's and complain about it."
