A British RNLI lifeboat amid massive breaking waves.

Perhaps I'm overly optimistic, but I think there is finally a robot lawn mower that looks decent enough for me to buy and try.

I have been waiting YEARS for a no-wire tracked mower with actual mulching blades (instead of the silly razor blades or string trimmer hunks of junk).

It certainly isn't cheap, but if it lasts for 3+ years and I don't have to mow for 3 hours each weekend, then it's a good buy.

Lindsey Graham on Kharg Island: "We did Iwo Jima. We can do this."

Israeli military historian Martin van Creveld put it bluntly back in 2003:

" We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force… We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under.”

The warhawk support from the Fox News baby boomer cohort is going to collapse the moment their 401ks take a hit from the fallout..

The GCC states are fucked, but I'm not sure what outcome they would think they're buying.

The US didn't start the war, Israel did. And the US can't end the war unless they're willing to pressure Israel (lol).

As long as the US is an empire, they are unable to walk away from the petrodollar and therefore the GCC. But Israel wants Iran destroyed because it's the only serious competitor in the region, so if the US wants to wind down the war, Israel will just escalate it to drag the US into a land war.

The smartest thing the US could do is declare bankruptcy and leave without destroying Iran so then Iran is Israel's problem. But that's unlikely to happen either because too many powerful people in America believe that they have to destroy Iran and setup Israel as a world government in order to bring back Jesus Christ.

Eschatology is weak men telling themselves they have to make hard times.

People on Instagram are enjoying sunsets, vacations, destination weddings.

People on X are posting like we’re in the final chapters before civilization collapses.

Same world. Different timelines.

Funny isn't it

How dare they put their country so close to US military bases!

> Where did Michigan fit into any of that?

Can you not see the image I posted of those same people chanting "death to America" on American soil?

It's incoherent as a foreign policy. It's schizophrenic.

Billions in weapons in a reckless conflict over "death to America" in a country half way around the globe, but welfare programs and visas to invite the same people through the front door at home.

Make it make sense.

> Iran announces imposition a $2 million transit fee on 'non-enemy' ships wishing to transit strait.

That's about $2 per barrel. IMO it can go to around $20-30 per barrel without breaking oil markets because what will happen is oil in the gulf will reduce in price to account for the toll.

Oil in Saudi Arabia is worth $0 if it can't be brought out. KSA can mine oil profitably at around $50, so anything between $50 and $100 is pure profit for them. Iran can appropriate as much of that profit as they want, as long as KSA is still making enough money to be worth pumping, they'll still pump...

🇦🇺 Australia is preparing a fuel rationing scheme

- 90% of Australia’s fuel comes from Asia, which gets it from the Middle East
- 42 stations have no fuel at all
- 107 have run out of diesel

Meanwhile, the war is escalating... this is quickly getting out of control.

> Had the "Iranian people" stopped chanting "Death to USA!" anytime between the late 70's and today

So are we going to bomb Michigan next?

Lawn clanker does a better job than I do, and I’m sure the grass will appreciate being mowed more than once every other week.
