@realcaseyrollins I used to enjoy reddit, but got chased off for not embracing the groupthink enough. I'm sure there's some cool communities, but I don't know which ones are still cool and interesting. One thing I think you'd need to be careful of is to maybe limit it to the top few posts every so often or you'll have the yellowandblack.xyz problem of drowning a small number of users in posts, which I think would limit engagement.

I think we need some communities that are separate from the politics of the day. There are lots of things we used to talk. Humor. Pictures. Gaming. Programming. News.

I think those would be a good start. The fast paced twitteresque stream of consciousness is one way to experience content, but I think the slower link aggregator with threaded conversations is a different way, and you can spend more time engaging with the content and also with other people, which I think could lead to different sorts of engagement.
