@Andrii I have the furthest left idea: Let's induce medical comas in all workers deemed non-essential by the government, and keep them alive solely on a drip of glucose, saline, and vitamins. This would be the lowest carbon way to keep people safe from COVID!

@Andrii I won't lie: The idea of a community being self-sufficient is appealing to me. There seems to be no reason why it isn't possible, and it seems like that would help the massive problem we have with people lacking meaning in their lives because someone somewhere else does all the stuff we need to survive.
