@DURGASOFT @NatePlastic You know what's interesting?
Men need to practice abstinence, because they have 0 legal reproductive rights.
If a woman gets pregnant through fraud, he's on the line. If she decides to keep the kid, he's on the line. If she decides to kill the kid, he has no kid. There's no moment where the man has any choice in the matter short of suicide.
This realization was a bit of a black pill for me.

@Apollonian_Differential @DURGASOFT @NatePlastic It does not logically follow.
If a man knocks up a woman and she decides to keep it then the man is on the hook. If 5 men have 5 kids with the women then 5 men are on the hook. No enforced monogamy here. Meanwhile, if a woman has 5 kids with 5 men but gets 5 abortions, then those 5 men have no choice in the matter.
The ability to become pregnant without consequences by allowing the woman to kill the baby is not legally enforced monogamy, and the ability to extract resources from multiple men if you decide to have kids with multiple men is not legally enforced monogamy. It in fact reduces the incentives for monogamy because you don't need to worry about whether your partner is going to stick around and support you.

@Apollonian_Differential @DURGASOFT @NatePlastic Ah, that's a good point.
How strange, half the population is incentivized to monogamy and half the population is incentivized to polyamory.
