I dislike apartment corporations and the blight they create.

My proposal:

You're a private business under ~25 properties, you get to do what you want.

Big corporate rental company? You're gonna get monitored.

I submit that the rules should favor decentralization in all cases.

I'd rather have a million landlords, with some bad, than a handful of corporate landlords.

Oh, I agree that the story posted by @cjd is ignorant midwit micromanagement that made a bad situation worse.
