One of the things I find annoying is that people think the reason linux isn't used more is that it isn't good enough. In reality, it's for many reasons but not that one.
It's just hard to change people's habits, especially when those habits are generally easy. Just go buy a computer, you have windows.

I think it's even simpler than that. Most people just use a web browser these days. Chrome on windows and Chrome on linux really aren't that different.
But windows is good enough most of the time, and you'd have to go out of your way to get linux, so of course only a small minority of people will use it.
Personally, I have two computers I use, one for gaming and one for the road, and the gaming laptop is windows of course, and the laptop for the road is linux because it supports the older hardware a lot better. Still just have brave, discord, element, and vlc open.
