I dunno, I think the entire tech industry requires mass layoffs. Any other industry this filled with overpaid people who don't actually do anything associated with the core business would have been moved to China or Bangladesh without prejudice long ago.

That's a good point. Honestly, he probably just shouldn't have bought twitter. It was good for the memes, but what he wants isn't compatible with what he bought.

He's the most visible, but I expect the same is happening to a lot of big tech folks who thought they could do anything without real consequence.
