My biggest shock with the American system is that there isn't universal healthcare already. The amount collected for medicare is enough per capita to do it based on almost every other country on the planet.

My only thing in Canada is any new policy should be funded, because Canada is going to financially collapse and we'll lose all our nice social programs at this rate if they aren't.

I figure we could implement dental care tomorrow at no increase to the federal deficit if we increase the GST/HST by 2%.
