These people came from big tech, where they can whine and cry and silence all opposition because there's someone at the top who is trying to become a multi-billionaire.

There are really easy ways to deal with people being mean to you on the Internet, and these morons have cultivated the polar opposite of all effective strategies.

Takes a whole new mindset....Or rather, a very old mindset because that's the way it used to be. Forums were pretty hands off because the people running them didn't do it for a living. Occasionally admins would get involved if someone was being dangerous to the whole system, but generally speaking people had to figure their shit out on their own.

I saw some forums like that too, or often they'd have a "go shit this place up" forum and then everyone was sort of expected to behave in the rest.
