Lotide is pretty impressive for #1 and #3. The html on lotide is so straightforward that it gracefully degrades to the point it can be displayed on nsca mosaic (I know, I checked)

It's not modern for sure. I'm oldschool so I like it. The original fbxl.net is still hand coded html/css
I don't know why, but it gets confused sometimes. It works well generally but sometimes gets confused and shoots a 500 for no good reason. This is what it looks like normally.
Yes, lotide is only more ideal as a reddit replacement which is why I run it. I'm interested in seeing groups being implemented later on, seeing if that ends up a good replacement for reddit style conversations

Hashtags work with posts the instance knows about, so this is the first time my site has seen it used so only your post shows up.
