On todays episode of ‘Posie Parkers getting more attention than me…stampy foot’ I would like to ask a question. I was, for my endless
sins, raised within the same church as Kate Forbes, The Free Kirk of Scotland. I am of course a woe begotten heathen of the lesbian variety so clearly hellbound. Does that mean I am forever tarred as a bigot? Genuinely am utterly bamboozled by this line of thinking. I have people in my family who are on the shall we say scary side of religious devotion that I would still rather offer up my spare room to than some of the so called nationalists of my country or GC feminists of the world! This thinking of themselves somehow more pious and righteous applies to them all. I think that’s why I get so irked by the mean girl shite. I hold no truck with religion be it cassock or glitter based! I can’t stand someone thinking themselves somehow better be it by their religion, their politics or their belief in their liberal wokery. The nonsense of demanding that a woman denounce a group of men who turned up uninvited and proceeded to stomp all over the stories being told by the women in attendance, note how everyone is talking about the. Nazis and the TRAS but no one is asking what was said by the women. I’m just so fucking tired of this. Men are men women are women that is it.

I guess I'd summarize it as using tools or wearing gloves whenever possible instead of directly touching things that will mess up your nails. It becomes a habit. Like I have pairs of gardening gloves that I wear when I'm cleaning around the house or doing yardwork, and when I clean dishes I have a bunch of brushes and sponges with handles that I use instead of directly holding the sponge or cloth.

My intention is to see how many people I can get on the platform, but I also understand the quality of the experience goes down as more people show up. So, my plan is to just clone the instance (or something like that) when it gets to the point where too many people make it annoying. My mom is a hoarder (OCD.. which has been passed down to me) and I had to get out and escape to another state. I couldn't stand it. The hoarding made me so anxious and she even tried putting some of her stuff in my bedroom! I tried to help her. I even donated/threw away some stuff. She has some trauma in her life that she's not ready to admit or try to heal from.

I threw out some old ex bf shit and my mom and I got jnto a full blown argument. I didn't want it in my space any more and I just wanted it gone. She had other plans.. and wanted to "look through the garbage bag". I had to snap at her so she would leave me alone.

True. Why didn't Antifa run the alleged "Nazis" off. I put "Nazis" in quotes because we don't know who they actually are. I think we can all agree that Nazis are scum bags who deserve to be ostracized, shunned, and jailed. They are a stain on humanity. We don't know for sure who these men were. At any rate, Antifa/Trantifa should have been all over them. I would like to have seen it happen. Antifa should have beat the Nazis to a pulp. Why did they focus on women and not the alleged Nazis? They wanted to discredit KJK. If they really hated Nazis, they would be laser focused on running them off. No, their rage was directed towards women as if women are physically able to run off a group of grown men.

I've been thinking about it. I think there is a possibility that the alleged "Nazis" were deliberately planted to discredit KJK. I wouldn't put it past them. It would be easy to do. For all we know, they could have been Antifa or trans dressed like Nazis. They have to discredit her someway even if they have to dream the whole damn thing up.

It's utterly ridiculous to think KJK and the women who follow her are some kind of Nazi sympathizers. At "Let Women Speak", KJK doesn't ask women their race, religion, sexual orientation, or class. ALL women can speak. Lesbians, bisexual women, and women of color speak at her events. There is no way in hell Nazis would let lesbians and women of color speak. @Funsizescot1975 Well on the one hand I can understand why people would say they wished she had denounced them, as they are downright scummy people, but on the other hand, acknowledging them in ANY way would have just riled them up even more, and she knows this. Riling them up would have only ended up with women being silenced, so it is ultimately in our best interest that she said nothing. She knows the nature of men, and she knows what would have happened had she responded in any way. I had to think about this for awhile before I understood what she did. It seems that others cannot examine things from another perspective? These violent men could have killed her or other women, so really, she did the right thing.

@Hollahollara @GrumpyOldNurse @Funsizescot1975 @MandyJane @TriptychTwins-partdeux Yeah I'm really into nail art, but I've never had acrylic nails or UV gel polish. I'm lucky to grow really strong nails, so I just grow my natural nails, not too long, and I paint with regular polish.

Sometimes I will use a stencil on the dry polish and make a design on top in another color. Sometimes I'll use a holographic topper on a solid or multichrome polish. Multichrome polish changes color when you move your nails.

Glitter is one of my favorites. The trick is sealing it with Orly glossy topper and then when you run your finger across the top of your nail, it is smooth as glass. You feel none of the glitter grain. That all gets sealed inside the thickness of it, so that helps keep clean too.

How you clean them is just the same as shorter nails really. You just need to wash with soap and water and make a regular habit of scaling underneath your fingernails. It's best to do that before you wash your hands. And you can use a nail brush and scrub underneath with soap.

Your nails also get extraordinarily clean when you take a bath or shower, just by being in there. Everything loosens up and flushes out underneath.

But the stickers are pretty easy. You just put the sticker on your nail and there is an open shape cut in the middle of the sticker.

Then you just paint over the sticker and be sure to fully coat the cutout shape and peel it off. There's a ton of YouTube tutorials too.

When I was into nail art my favorite shit ever was Swarovski gems glued on with polish 😭 they're expensive for a tiny bag but I couldn't stop looking at my nails

Yeah, they did catch on my hair sometimes. I would cover them with a top coat but it wasn't as nice because the top coat covers the facets and it stops catching light the same way..

I miss being able to do my nails but I'm hoping mine are healthy by summer.

I'll probably get judged a lot but makeup is fun for me. I really loved doing my nails and it's disappointing that I can't anymore because of the dumb choice I made with acrylics. Oh well at least I have blush I'm obsessed with how it makes me look like I have a pulse 🫀

I don't think I'll ever do the extensions again. Just way too much hassle and now I know the risks so I'd just..rather not. I started out with regular polish but kept seeing those really really intricate acrylics and that got the best of me lol

I rarely get them done because my day to day is probably a bit like a nurse's and it's not always safe or appropriate. But she did do these for our St Paddy's Run. It's gel, with transfers. All dried under a proper heater and as a result pretty robust. This is after a week, with lots of cleaning in between.

No , I wish . The reason I even got the fungus on my fingers in the first place was the combination of acrylics and having my hands constantly damp from wearing rubber gloves or damp from cleaner. No brainier why it happened. Still gross.

The clicking was my favorite thing though. You could even just click them together against each other instead of snapping and I felt very much like a rich celebrity

I have to wash my hands all the time because I have poopy animals, and also it is the dry season in Florida. Every time I bump a nail on something it cracks. I look like I chew my nails sometimes.
