Some people accuse Pierre Poilievre of being divisive, and he should be nicer, more passive.
I will never forget that Justin Trudeau was out there saying I was a racist sexist misogynistic transphobic homophobic American Russian because I thought his government should implement policies in March that he ultimately implemented in October.
You can't have a one way conversation where someone is calling you such hateful things and not push back. That's why the Conservatives (who had a number of relatively 'nice guy' candidates, I need to remind you) needed Poilievre. It'd be nice if we can get back to centrism, and I think that once the current divisive government is out of there we could get back to the work of running the country, it might even be that Poilievre has a short tenure if he doesn't chill out. But you can't fight hate with passivity, you can't just sit there and take it, because unfortunately a lot of people see these vicious attacks on fellow Canadians and assume that they're correct and true.
