>Whoever has destroyed our villages and towns, then we have the right to destroy their villages and towns. Whoever has stolen our wealth, then we have the right to destroy their economy. And whoever has killed our civilians, then we have the right to kill theirs.
This argument makes me fucking angry. Civilians are not responsible for what their governments do. We are not parts of a body of which the government is the head. Neither I nor anyone I know asked for a holy war. So you can fuck right off with your collective guilt bullshit.

This is a load of crap. If it were true, why were there so many protests against the Iraq war and why are there so many protests for Palestine?
I don't see how that follows.
Also, for me, government is a pragmatic way to solve problems such as crime, not an ideal that can be legitimised by the approval of any number short of 100% of it's citizens. Although, I might have formed that opinion after hearing anarchists talk.

I'm not saying that war is completely wrong. For examples, wars in self-defense are completely justified.
Just that targeting people who aren't responsible for the aggression, such as civilians, on purpose is wrong. That includes conscripted soldiers as well if we're being morally pure, but that's unavoidable so it's a moot point.
