I have always wanted that feature and am annoyed whenever people refuse to emulate it by untagging people on request.

That has always been everyone's attitude, including Pete's.

BTW, I had to force load this post due to a server error.

But then you can miss out on interesting discussion happening in other parts of the thread. IMO muting a thread from a post should mute all replies on just that post and it's descendants.
