The thing that these people don't seem to realize is that the school is an organ of the state. I'm full on for free speech, but on the other hand I think that the speech of government employees who are acting in their capacity as agents of the state should be more heavily regulated than tobacco advertising. Especially when that speech is coming from someone who has been mandated exposure to children.
And these people believe it too. Ask them if the state should be funding providing copies of mein Kampf to children, and suddenly they believe in "banning books" too.
