Often the difference between people who are advocates for these green technologies and those who aren't isn't a disagreement about whether climate change exists and is something we should be dealing with, but instead is a disagreement between somebody who doesn't care whether the technology actually functions and somebody who needs the technology reliably to function or face personal calamity.
