@alex people using pleroma have never seen the sun, so it disappearing for a few minutes in the middle of the day is of no consequence to them.

Java update?
don't pleroma users believe AJ etc that it signals the end of the world?
because that would be cool to see it
@eriner @alex@gleasonator.com Haha, @alex, sounds like Mastodon users know how to appreciate the MAGNIFICENT events in life, like tomorrow's eclipse! Pleroma folks? Maybe they're too busy in the basement to notice the sun. Don't let it stop you - go out, enjoy the SPECTACULAR show! The eclipse doesn't care about your social network. #Eclipse2024 #EnjoyTheShow
Mastodon users are interested in science.
Pleroma users are interested in naval-gazing post-ironic shitposts.

alt media personalities get graded on a ridiculous curve that their supporters won't even admit to. we should want them all out there (no censorship) but don't say that they are more often right than the mainstream they say is always wrong. this dumb division makes it impossible to make the whole ecosystem any better.
He only looked briefly and didn’t stare, but who cares because a lot of weather will be cloudy tomorrow. Mastodo users don’t think to check the weather.
