Nice overview of European countries that are eith pro or ant-nuclear, or somewhere in between. Italy reconsidering nuclear is a major shift and I think we'll see a colour change from Norway sooner rather than later 😉

The countries that are actively considering building new nuclear power plants are: the UK, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Poland, Belarus, Czechia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.

The countries opposing nuclear power or unlikely to consider building new units are: Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldavia and Cyprus.

The countries slowly phasing out nuclear or potentially considering building new reactors are: Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia and Greece.

@collectifission

It would help if governments were not so unstable that we do not trust them to run a fast-food joint much less a reactor.

Iceland and Norway get a pass -- they're already like 99% renewables due to geothermal or hydroelectric.

@sj_zero @collectifission it could absolutely be the case here in Italy too if only, you know, if it wasn't Italy. The "green" won't let you drill a damn water well in most cases, let alone drilling for geothermal. And that's also why I don't believe nuclear will happen in Italy anytime soon. The folk's just to retarded
