Wow Steve Jobs said this. Seems the leader of Apple had some serious issues with Android

"Total Fagdroid Death"

- Steve Jobs

@Dicey >HOW DARE ANDROID STEAL FROM ME TO SELL PRODUCT!!!

>says man who stole from others to sell product

@Dicey If only he had this same mindset regarding his pancreatic cancer

Kind of ironic considering that half the "new features" of new apple devices are just android features.

Maybe he'll destroy both Apple and Android. Win win.

Mutual Destruction is the best we can hope for.

Next stop is mobian. Let's goooooooooo

I really hate how even the linux phone developers are trying to imitate Android's ui.

I put i3wm on a pine phone with a keyboard and just resized the fonts. The only problem is that the pinephone is a shit device tbh. It's slow, the battery life is shit, and no hardware acceleration etc.

I know, and all the linux vendors think we want yet another proprietary thing when what I personally want is to be running actual linux programs. I don't want to be running special gnu/android web browsers, I want chromium and firefox the same as my desktop.

The other thing I find strange in the direction linux is going is a movement away from a network model by eliminating the client-server model. Wayland is just one example. Pipewire is also not network transparent and has to piggyback on pulse. Plus, just try configuring either from a simple conf file. I may be paranoid, but it looks to me like a frog in a pot of boiling water that ends with the major desktop linux builds locking users into their devices with little ability to change them except where they allow it via gui in the name of security and convenience.
