watched the suicide squad isekai pilot with the boys. it was really a competition between how bad Wit Studio could animate and how bad Warner Bros. could write. Harley Quinn name-drops Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and Looney Tunes between sequences of clearly rotoscoped fights. how utterly atrocious.

@berkberkman they don't even die, they open a portal and walk into a fantasy world (Harley Quinn sees a bunch of floating islands and says it's just like Lord of the Rings)

@Tadano you know that episode of Smiling Friends where a couple of the characters are rotoscoped and the others aren't? it's like that but not as a joke and to save money.

@bleedingphoenix Terminator anime could be good, the art style is at the least good (though the no guns cus Japan thing is worrying, hope they’ll double up on improvised weapons like the pipe bombs in the OG), but here I hear “modern series with Harley Quinn” and loose all interest.

@Witch_Hunter_Siegfired @bleedingphoenix Picture is of Mordred and Shisigo, so I'll just use this opportunity to say they were the absolute highlight of Apocrypha. They're a very cute pseudo-Father Daughter duo.

@supersid333 @Witch_Hunter_Siegfired the tomboy getting a strong father figure and healing her wounds made them the real winners of that anime.
