@FortyTwo I thought solar was a scam according to you
@FortyTwo I wanna see you use a nuclear plant when society is over
@FortyTwo yea how are you gonna carry that steam plant with you when looking for good and stuff.
I agree at least in terms of environment and stuff solar is a scam. But in terms of money. How much electricity you save, it's not.

@silas @FortyTwo when the society collapses that won't be a consideration whatsoever, because, A: lack of electricity will be the least of your concerns, and B: idiots aimlessly wondering around with their puny solar panels and trying to get cellphone signal will be pretty darn easy to loot. Or you'll just wait them out and take what you need off their carcases in a week tops 😂
@silas @FortyTwo seriously though, when it comes to pretty darn inefficient power generation, this is probably a far better option: https://youtu.be/hDLWO_Iaflc?si=DZ04tbLcfw2LT97u
You'll need to stay close to water when on the move anyway, you'll be making fire anyways, so why rely on sunlight that might or might not be available? ;)
@FortyTwo @silas if you have a stream on your property, especially if it's on a slope, and a shovel, this might be an option. Half a kilowatt isn't much, but it's definitely enough to charge your batteries and keep the lights on ;)

I've always thought putting small generators in water mains would be a good idea
@EarlThePearls @FortyTwo @silas depends on how much would it cost you to keep water going all the time, I suppose. Where I live that probably wouldn't be very cost effective ;)
