17c's take

"But again, you don't love the *right's* lies. Only the left's. You would reject the right's "lies." " this I think is the critical part.

@sickburnbro Yes. And the perfect example of this can be seen with the W. Bush presidency and the Obama presidency. The same people that hated Bush loved Obama even when most of his hopey-changey promises never got fulfilled. But he made them feel warm and fuzzy inside, so that apparently is enough for them.

They consider luke-warm moderates far right is their biggest mistake. When it gets bad enough you won't have soggy milktoasts asking nicely to stop the failing state, most likely will have nations fall into fractured regions at best. Drinking their own kool-aid.

socdems, green party and liberals copying far right ideas to reduce immigration here.

> far right party gets even more votes

why would anybody vote a none far right party, if they want far right politics

The other day I explained our establishment is being evil clippy, and I think that it just fits. "You look like you're trying to overrun the country with people from a totally foreign culture. Do you want me to help?" No evil clippy I just want to raise my family. "Congratulations ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ now importing millions of foreigners per year! I sure hope you didn't need a place to rent or an entry level job!"

Goddamnit evil clippy.....

@condret @BronzeAgeHogCranker @sickburnbro I don't think people really want far right politics, they're just voting for it because their concerns are constantly being ignored by whoever's in charge.

@thendrix @BronzeAgeHogCranker the sheer number of people coming in is fine.
