@sj_zero While I agree inflation is understated by official figures real estate, especially a comparison of total value, is a really bad measure for this in that time frame because of financial market shenanigans, subsidies, development of raw land, etc. A pound of sugar or other base ingredients would be more accurate.
I mostly showed it as just one example of many. Everyone who doesn't have a butler paying for their groceries know full well it didn't peak at 8%.
