If I had poutine I wouldn't need a hot dog. Or anything else. For a brief little while, my life would be complete. But I live in rural Texas where there is no poutine. On the upside, my ancestors are buried here.

@LawrenceGerald @coolboymew They sell cheese curds at HEB... I have made poutine here in Texas. I didn't tell anyone because I am not sure if that is illegal or not, but I deed it.
You could probably get away with cubed up Gouda. A lot of restaurants up here will just use shredded mozzarella and call that poutine but while it's passable it's sort of a different dish.

@sj_zero @LawrenceGerald We have a weird small chain called Dic Ann's that does use shredded cheese, cook everything in peanut oil, the poutine sauce is spicy in a special way and has ground beef in it
